April Showers Bring So Many Blessings

Well today is April 1st. I can't believe April is already here. I am so excited for nice weather and Colorado snow storms to be behind us for at least the next few months. I was thinking about the month of April and can't believe how many things we have to be thankful for this year. Tomorrow Isla is turning 7 months and it is mom's birthday. It has been just over a month since Isla was sick with the flu and glad to say she has bounced back quickly. On Sunday we will celebrate our first Easter as a family as well as the first holidays Joey has been home for in over eight years. It is amazing how important being together becomes when you are apart for so long. Growing up I always was so lucky to spend the holidays with my family, once Joey and I got married he worked almost every holiday so I started to dread every holiday because instead of fun times with family it turned into law and order marathons alone trying to forget the day was a holiday. I am so thankful that we all get to be together this Easter, and won't forget to give thanks to the many men and women military, police, fireman, nurses, that have to work on the holiday's in order to provide service and protection for us. After Easter we have another big event to look forward to........ Shelby and Eric's wedding and they are coming to visit us on their way to Chicago. The month of April is going to fly by so fast and then Isla and I will be on our way to visit everyone in Oregon in mid May. I am very thankful for the many blessings we have this month and looking forward to a wonderful springtime season :)
