So I have now completed my first week and a half of weight watchers. Yesterday, I went to weigh in hoping for results anything from keeping me giving up. I was prepared for the scale not to budge, but I was hoping for something. I am happy to report that I am down 3lbs. I was thinking about what to write about this week and I thought I should explain why I think so many people have great success on weight watchers. First, it is maintainable for everyone in the home. I think it is hard enough to try to change your own ways let alone motivate other people in your home to try to get on the diet wagon with you. Second, you can still have a life. I think it is just American culture in general, but it seems like everything revolves around food. This month alone we have three Halloween parties, and a mom's night out at a local restaurant. Weight watchers allows you to plan ahead use your points as needed and not feel like you have to isolate yourself or be looking for a menu item that fits a very restrictive diet. Third, there is no expensive pills, powders, or daily routines you have to make time for. So now I am fully into week two. I earned a book mark this week and it is amazing how small rewards motivate grown adults to continue on for another week. Next stop my silver star :)
So what am I doing?
Sticking to my weight watchers point plan
Walking 2 miles per day
Keeping my focus on each week and remaining accountable.
Viewing my eating plan as a lifestyle change rather than another diet that will provide a short term solution to a long term problem
