First, lets get the work stuff out of the way because I have gotten that question a lot lately how is the job. I would be lying if I said it wasn't draining with all I have see on a daily basis, but I hope that I am making some sort of a difference for these kids. Most days I feel like that dog in the pound that is surrounded by all the crazy dogs giving you that "please rescue and save me from these crazy's" make your own determination on what dog I am ;) I experienced my first code red at work also that was a little insane. Nothing like starting your morning with a youth on the run and everyone in the building running after him. Who really needs coffee when you have a hot pursuit like that.
Then of course we have Halloween. Isla was a lady bug this year and I can not believe how much she has grown since last year. Last year I have a picture of her propped up against her rocking chair with a smile and this year I was chasing her around with the camera and bribing her with a cooke to not rip off her costume. We had a pretty low key Halloween and did what everyone should do on Halloween...... go out to Mexican food. Nothing like Halloween eve at Pueblo Veijo. When we got home we had some older kids already hitting up the street. My first thoughts were if you can pull off the naughty nurse act, or dirty cop you are way to old to be out trick or treating, but the other part of me thought there are far worse things these kids could be doing on Halloween and I shouldn't complain. Here is Isla's picture from Halloween.
So after talking about yummy candy and Mexican food, what better topic to move onto than Weight Watchers progress. SO I have officially made it to week 6 and going strong. I am down 9 lbs and hoping to reach 10 this week. This is by far the best program I have ever followed. I can still eat anything I want just in moderation. Instead of the number 5 combo with all the trimmings I can order an ala carte enchilada and call it good. I am really excited to be wearing clothes I haven't worn since pre-baby, and feeling so much better about myself. I am still a long road from my goal, but so happy I am seeing progress.
Then if you haven't read my facebook post already today it is Leo and Delilah's 5th b-day! I still will never forget the look on Joey's face when he came home from work when we were living in England and I told him I had pre-ordered two golden's online. Call it a desperate lonely night in England or just pure craziness, but I found Leo and Dee online with a breeder in Missouri before we were even living there. For the first 5 years we were married Joey usually worked nights, weekends, holiday's and on a good week 70 hours a week. Most people we knew divorced, but Leo and Dee saved me from being lonely for all those times Joey was gone. I spent many holiday's alone with them watching Law and Order re-run's, but always kept me company. Now in all the good times we have had our bad that included the loss of four remotes, a cot (long story), and other material items. Everyone was worried on how my two first babies would do when Isla came along, but besides Leo's hunger strike during the first few days everyone is fine. Leo thought we would be really concerned about him not eating, but since he is 30lbs overweight he realized fast he needed another plan of attack. Here is a picture from this weekend of Isla and Dee you can see how much those two love each other. Even after the countless carb's these two have swiped from the counter tops, or the many other things they have done over the years I am still so thankful to have Leo and Dee around.

Well I better post this before it turns into yet another half typed blog that is awaiting posting day ;) I promise I will be around more often :) So much to talk about especially with all of the new changes coming with the recent election. I think given the fact that Bristol Palin is still on Dancing with the Star's despite her lack of dance ability should have given us all the heads up that the republican party was on roll no matter what anyone else thought.
