If you would have asked me a few months ago to describe a coupon lady. I would have told you the lady at the checkout line with a binder full of coupons, stock piling 10 years worth of toilet paper and spaghetti sauce for her basement, only to dispute her final savings of $24.00 instead of $24.02. Well with the events of the last few months I came to the conclusion that if I couldn't make more money for the time being, I needed to save more. So I turned to the darkside and I am not talking Star Wars. I am talking about full on couponing lady. Now I don't have a binder (yet) but I am proud that for the second month in a row I have saved over $100.00 dollars on my monthly shopping bill. On average I have been saving about $25.00 per week.
I joined the website The Krazy Coupon Lady www.thekrazycouponlady.com and they take the guess work out of knowing who has what is on sale. They have printable coupons so you can search for what you need and not have to be clipping for hours on end every Sunday. So now I am the one holding up the line as I had over my stack of coupons and I would like to think that if it were for the sweet baby in my cart I would be getting the side eye much more often. Coupon-ing isn't for everyone, but I thought everyone could at least use a helpful website to save a little money.

ReplyDeleteThe side eye stares and grunts behind me are always worth it to me since I save more and am able to stay home with Amalie More and not have to pay for daycare !
Way to be "Krazy" glad we can enjoy and share stories about this adventure together.
And even one day if we have all the money in the world I bet we will continue to be thrifty and use that saved more for things that are much more exciting than overpriced tampax and toothpaste :)
