I Love My Crock Pot & No Dogs Were Harmed In The Production Of This Blog

When you read the title of this blog you probably thought since it involved cooking my blog was hacked and you kept reading so you could tell me exactly what this person wrote ;) Well yes, it is me giving a cooking tip and no don't scream and run away. I know for just about everyone it has been hot no matter where you live so my cooking tip for the day...... drum roll please...... is cooking my baked potatoes in a crockpot. I wash the potatoes, poke them, and wrap them in foil then cook on low for 6-8 hours. They turn out delish and you don't have to heat up your entire house making a few potatoes.

Part of My Yummy Dinner For Tonight

The second reason I love my crock pot so much is because Isla is mobile these days and I need every minute I can get. Actually more like olympic sprinter mobile. I laugh at myself thinking back to the days I would brag about getting all my laundry done, cleaned the house, caught up on emails, all while my sweet little thing lounged in her bouncy seat happily content with a single toy. So for all you new mom's no bragging about babies that sleep 10 hours at night or your new found super momma skills that allow you to do it all karma will come back for you ;) Actually today Isla managed to cross about 10 toys and Leo and Dee to get to a small piece of lint I had missed while vacuuming then put it in her mouth and crawled and hid behind the couch and laughed. Such a sassy little thing these days, but I love it. She is turning into such a little lady with so much personality. Her favorite toy is not any of the cute things we have bought her, but Delilah. Leo is afraid of Isla and will run away and hide. Usually he takes refuge in the bath tub, or at a high enough point on the couch where he can't be reached. Well Delilah on the other hand loves Isla. I think a part of my thinks that Delilah actually thinks Isla is her own child and Dee's mothering instinct is coming out while the other side of me knows Dee is a smart little cookie and this is probably a ploy for extra table scraps under the highchair. Either way they are having a blast together.

When Isla tried to ride Dee off into the sunset this morning.

A few kisses from Dee.
